THESE HOUSEHOLD BRANDS BROKE THEIR WORD

Land O’Lakes. El Monterey. Tastykake. Hood. These brands promised to spare animals from cages. They haven’t. You can change that.

You probably know these brands. You’ve bought them. You’ve stocked them in your pantry, packed them in your lunch bags, and reached for them without a second thought for years.

But here’s something most people don't know: many of the biggest brands in your grocery store made public promises to stop sourcing eggs from farms that keep hens in cramped, barren cages—and now they’re walking those promises back.

Not every product made by Land O’Lakes, Flowers Foods, Ruiz Foods, or HP Hood contains eggs. But each of these companies made a commitment to do better for animals—and then broke it.

Their broken promises mean millions of hens are still confined in wire cages so small theycan’tspreadtheirwings, turn around, or do anything that comes naturally to them. These are sensitive, intelligent animals living out their entire lives in nightmarish cages, and the companies behind the brands so many have trusted for years are choosing to keep it that way.

These aren’t small companies operating under the radar. They’re household names with massive marketing budgets and loyal customers. They know exactly what they committed to. And they're counting on you not to notice.

85% of Americans oppose keeping hens in cages. That makes it the single most opposed practice in all of animal agriculture. Your message tells these companies that their customers are paying attention, and that a broken promise to animals is a broken promise to you.
